Session 6/Week 2

The Heroes began a study of gravity in Quest this week, which included boat building and a study of stretch and strength (think Bungee jumping!). Another chance for designing their own creations, failing and starting again.

Another highlight of the week was a field trip to the McKinney Center in Jonesborough for a performance of the play The First and Last Town in Tennessee. Our own Ms. Leticia participated in the production musically and on stage. She was fantastic as the Progressive Era’s Mrs.Nelson! A whirlwind learning experience as two-hundred years of Tennessee history were packed into two hours.

Next week Leonardo da Vinci will be the inspiration for the tower and bridge building. Our adventure in Newton’s Toy Company continues!
