Stars, Galaxies, Nebulas, and Black Holes

Session 7/Week 3
This week the Heroes learned about the life cycle of stars, galaxies, nebulas, and black holes. Did you know that singularity found in black holes negates the laws of nature as we know them? I did not. Somehow that information was left out of my education. They simulated the death of a star (did you know that is how black holes are formed?). I think I learned as much as they did this week.
We started a new game to emphasize the responsibility that comes with freedom in a learner-driven environment. This responsibility extends beyond meeting their own goals. They must hold their fellow heroes accountable and encourage one another toward excellence. That is the Acton way.
They are in for a treat tomorrow as they head to the planetarium at ETSU. They will have the privilege of learning more about the universe from the experts. I know there will be many questions for them from inquisitive Heroes on a quest to learn about the universe!
