How did we get here?

When we discovered the Acton podcast with Jordan Peterson, we were blown away by just how good education could be.  But there wasn't one anywhere near us.   

As a mom, I always knew that when my youngest would be old enough for school, I would want a new challenge. So, when this opportunity came open, I was ready - but terrified.  Part of the Hero's Journey is that if you are on the right one, it will likely terrify and thrill you at the same time. As Joseph Campbell once penned, "The cave you fear to enter holds the treasure you seek."   

The rethinking education model of Acton Academy offers exactly what we wanted for the rest of our children and for children in our community - to be prepared for a meaningful life.  They develop 21st century skills that focus on learning to learn, learning to do, and learning to be" while embracing a calling to change the world.
